Project Detail |
Drum Sounds" is an innovative project based on a national communication campaign for social change. It promotes a more participatory and inclusive democracy, especially for women and girls. It includes the production of a television series and a radio soap opera that will be broadcast in "prime time", coupled with local community actions and social media events.
The aim of this innovative format is to generate questions and debates to effectively challenge the stereotypes and social habits that hinder political participation of citizens, and to develop the capacity of action of the target groups.
This is called "edutainment", a method of awareness through entertainment. The messages are all the better assimilated as they are transmitted in fun and interactive form, accessible to a large part of the population.
IMPACTS
With a broadcast on TV5 Monde in French, the series can be viewed throughout Francophone Africa and thus reach a wider audience. The citizens of West Africa, first and foremost women and girls are thus informed and sensitized on topics related to citizenship, democratic governance and human rights. By deconstructing conventional wisdom and developing the capacity to act, the project aims to promote strong citizen participation and thus contribute to more inclusive governance. |
