AFD has granted a loan of € 3m to Chirongui commune for the partial financing of its investment budget in December 2017. The Mayotte agency then pre-financed grants amounting to € 4.9m for the performing equipment operations. The projects concerned are: the subdivision of the Chirongui stadium; the construction of the cultural center of the island; the construction of the house of families and crafts; the rehabilitation of municipal roads; the rehabilitation of Tsimkoura and Chirongui 1 schools; the construction of the covered market of Chrirongui. IMPACTS Structuring an innovative cultural offer and developing the artistic proposals that are still lacking in Mayotte, via the constitution of the cultural center which will host a cinematographic room, an exhibition hall, conferences, congresses, shows ... Develop housing in a context of land limited to Mayotte, through the creation and servicing of housing estate stage Chirongui. This project aims in particular to reduce the anarchic urbanization on the territory of the municipality and also to develop the social mix. |
