Al Khor and Al Dhakhira are established and growing residential towns located on the north eastern coast of Qatar and are situated approximately 50 km to the north of Doha. The area is the location of residential housing and industrial facilities providing support for the buoyant and growing oil and gas industries within the region. The new STW (Al Dhakhira Sewage Treatment Works) will be sized to serve a population of 205,000 people in the area, which is the estimated population for the year 2036.
