DESCRIPTION On December 1, 2018 there was a change of government at the federal level in Mexico, therefore all those projects that are in the preinvestment stage are subject to confirmation by the new authorities. The project consists of a new second level hospital to replace the General Hospital Dr. Santiago Ramón y Cajal. An infrastructure is foreseen that will attend the four basic specialties: internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics and obstetrics-gynecology through the provision of 126 beds, 30 offices (which will have 28 specialties), 6 operating rooms, emergency room with 7 offices and 28 observation beds, as well as adult intensive care unit (8 beds) and neonatal beds (7 beds). It is considered to offer the following specialties and services: a) Diagnostic auxiliary services: imaging, clinical laboratory, pathological anatomy, blood bank, endoscopy and allergy cabinets, cardiology, obstetrics-gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, neurology and neurosurgery and ophthalmology. b) Auxiliary treatment services: emergencies, there will be a surgical unit consisting of 5 operating rooms for general surgery and 1 for surgery, peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, chemotherapy and cabinets for urology, pneumology and pain clinic. The provision of medical services will be provided by ISSSTE staff. |
