DESCRIPTION
On December 1, 2018 there was a change of government at the federal level in Mexico, therefore all those projects that are in the preinvestment stage are subject to confirmation by the new authorities.
The project consists of extracting, with self-propelled dredgers, sand from an environmentally authorized marine bank for subsequent dumping in the coastal zone of Cozumel. The objective is to create enough beach widths to preserve the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT) and protect the existing infrastructure.
The project consists of the placement of a simple sand fill along 750 meters of coastal front in beaches of Cozumel, to reach design widths between 20 and 30 meters. The volume of sand to be poured is 270,711 m3. The project includes the constructions of three structures, two in the form of a curved "L" and another in the form of "Y". |
