Project Detail |
As part of Bane NORs strategy to increase freight capacity on the Dovre Line, Bane NOR will extend the crossing track at Ler station so that 650 meters long freight trains can cross without unnecessary loss of time. Three unsecured plane transitions inside the station area are replaced with new land transitions. Existing platform in connection with track 1 should be demolished and replaced with a new platform of 125 meters. In addition, a future extension of the platform to a minimum of 220 meters will be facilitated. It will also be possible to build a side platform at track 2. Due to the extension of the crossing track, a new railway bridge for track 1 will be built over the watercourse Kaldvella.
Baneservice AS has been chosen as a general contractor and will then be responsible for the implementation of project planning at the building plan. The contract entered into with Baneservice has a value of NOK 198 million and the project has started the next Easter. Then the level crossings will be demolished and the two new transitions will be built. |
