Project Detail |
The project will build a new contact pipeline system and an autotransformer system on the Lillestrøm - Åbogen section. The new facility will strengthen the power supply in the network and increase capacity and reliability. It is an overall social goal to facilitate increased transport on the track, and upgrading the power supply at Kongsvingerbanen is an important factor in this process.
The concept of AT-system is mainly based on the construction of longitudinal high-voltage conductors positive conductor (PL) and negative conductor (NL) with 30 kV voltage along the entire stretch. With 10 kilometers distance, autotransformers are placed in their own buildings / kiosks. The transformers help to feed the power of the trains running at 15 kV as before.
Contact wiring systems are built as system 20. The contact wire is sectioned and fed from the PL line so that each KL section is coordinated with the main signals on the line. PL and NL are normally routed as shiny wires on top of the KL masts, but are laid in cables where there is no space for blank conductors (in tunnels, under transition bridges or other obstacles). The concept of AT system eliminates the need for suction transformers on the stretch.
Today, Kongsvingerbanen has heavy traffic, consisting of both freight and passenger trains. Today, traffic consists of local trains (65%), regional and long-distance trains to and from Sweden (15%) and freight trains (20%).
The track has a high market share for travel on the stretch between Kongsvinger and Oslo, but meets strong competition from private cars after the E16 was expanded. In this connection, it is an overall social goal to facilitate increased rail transport and the upgrading of a contact line system is an important part of this process. This is also included in Bane NORs overall plan for modernizing the power supply in the network.
A new contact line system (KL plant) with autotransformer system (AT system) will strengthen the power supply in the network and increase capacity and operational reliability. With a new AT system, the distances between the converter stations can be increased and the number of converter stations reduced. The new system transmits power at a higher voltage level than a conventional contact line system.
The aim of the project is to provide an efficient, accessible, secure and more environmentally friendly transport system that covers societys need for transport, and which also promotes regional development. |
