Italian Fight Wear S.r.l, is a design and producer of combat sport gear established in Rapallo in 2014. They have developed SENSOR WRAPS MK II, a unique innovation for the combat sport sector, focused on the Fighting Sports Wearables market, valued at €1.7 billion and the wearables market projected to grow to €51 billion for the period of 2016-2022 at a CAGR of 15%. TECNE Wraps is a wearable inner glove technology that monitors a fighter’s metrics such as fatigue, heart rate, punch impact through inbuilt tracking devices that transmit data to smart devices in real time. Unlike current combat tracking products, which are a collection of sensors in a container strapped on the wrist. It also offers total hand protection to all fighting disciplines were outer gloves are needed in practice or competitive matches. Target users include amateur and professional combat sport athletes who represent a total addressable market of 8.9M as well fans of the sport. With SENSOR WRAPS MK II, the following benefits are offered; accurate and reliable data, reusable universal inner glove, total hand protection. Phase 1 will project will be used to finalize functionality and specifications for the inner glove, development of exploitation strategy as well as search for commercial partners. This will complement €130K already invested to bring TECNE Wraps to TRL 6. A roadmap of the activities and timelines Phase 2 towards the market launch for 2020 will also be defined.
