Project Detail |
Appalachian Power and its affiliate, AEP West Virginia Transmission Company, Inc., plan to strengthen the transmission grid in the Plum Orchard Lake area by upgrading the electrical system in Fayette County.
The Pax Branch Transmission Line Upgrade project consists of rebuilding about 6 miles of an existing transmission line to ensure reliable electric service to customers. All work will be done in or adjacent to existing right-of-way. Existing easements will need to be supplemented. Construction is expected to start this fall and be complete by summer of 2019.
Estimated budget for the project is $15 million.
