Project Name | Twin Branch – Kenzie Creek Transmission Line Rebuild Project |
Project Detail | Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is upgrading the electric transmission grid in St. Joseph County in northern Indiana and Cass County in southern Michigan. The Twin Branch – Kenzie Creek Transmission Line Rebuild project upgrades the transmission infrastructure to provide a reliable flow of electricity to its customers. The approximately $15 million project will update an aging infrastructure, reducing the risk of extended power outages in the region. I&M will replace aging lattice towers with steel monopole structures ranging between 85 and 150-feet in height. The structures will be placed in the center of a 100-foot wide right-of-way corridor.
