Smith State Route: SR 26 Current Status: Construction Legislative Districts: 09 Project Description The lagoon system is not functioning properly. The first cell dries out completely in the summer often leaving a pile of raw sewage at the end of the drain pipe, the exposed inlet pipe is susceptible to high heat which can cause clogging and the last two sections of the inlet pipe have come loose and are no longer anchored down allowing the pipe to move freely when there is water in the cell. Lengthening the pipe and dividing the lagoon into thirds, or at least into half, to realign the capacity with the amount of water and sewage that is treated at the facility will allow the lagoon to function properly.
