Project Detail |
The Contract includes the design and construction of the ring road north of Warsaw on the S8 expressway to Bialystok between Marki and Radzymin for a length of 8.13 km.
The project aims at relieving urban traffic congestion and includes the construction of two interchanges (the ‘Zielonka’ junction and ‘Kobylka’ junction), 9 major engineering structures (5 bridges, 2 flyovers and 2 underpasses), and the resurfacing of other secondary and local roads.
The investment, at European level, was included in the ‘Program for the construction of state roadways in 2011-2015’.
The direct advantages resulting from construction of the new expressway, in addition to relieving urban traffic congestion, are the reduction of travel times and reduction of risk of accidents, fuel savings and reduction of exhaust emissions and noise pollution.
