Project Detail |
Project description
The bus terminal will be part of the Pilsen Integrated Transport System (IDP). The terminal will be used for both regional and long-distance services, both end and transit, and will be involved in a wider network of IDP hubs.
The bus terminal will be situated in the area between Šumavská Street and ŽST Plzen
Central Station. In the western part of the terminal, in direct connection to the main hiking route of the node, the check-in area will be located. In the eastern part of the terminal there will be parking areas for buses and trolley buses.
The project will create a bus terminal with ten departure and nine parking stations, trolley buses. With the new second subway, the bus terminal will be directly connected to the Pilsen Main Railway Station platform. Walking stairs and lift will be available. The terminal will also include a car park for passengers and social facilities for both drivers and passengers.
By locating the bus terminal at the main railway station, a more efficient organization of public transport in Pilsen will improve passenger services, thus improving and speeding up the transfers between different modes of public transport.
Total costs should be around 160 million crowns. The first passenger will use the new terminal at the beginning of 2019.
