Project Detail |
The Royal Government of Cambodia is promoting the development of an aviation sector via the National Strategy Development Plan (2009-2013) as one of its top priorities. The civil aviation industry is also rapidly increasing by promoting the development of new airline routes to Seoul, China, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. However, constructing CATC to train professionals for the aviation field is not currently available due to lack of a budget and knowledge. Therefore, the Cambodian government requested KOICA to construct CATC and to share Korea’s related technology and knowledge. Korea already received the highest-level of evaluation results from the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Office of the Council of Ministers (OCM) signed a Record of Discussions (R/D) for the project “The Establishment of Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC) in Cambodia” on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Office of the Council of Ministers. |
