In Indonesia, the peat swamp has dried due to the recent large-scale development, and the fire frequently occurs. As a result of this, agricultural land has spread, the populations poverty has expanded, and health damage due to smoke damage has also become serious. As a countermeasure, it is required not to treat symptomatic treatment such as fire fighting, but to restore the ecosystem of the peatland which was originally a wetland, at the same time cultivate useful trees to improve the livelihood of the residents.

Project goal Peat ecosystem is restored by making peatland rehydrating and planting of native species in Tanjung Rubang village of Bunkaris district of Riau province with frequent peat fires in cooperation with residents, government and enterprises, And to improve the livelihoods of residents.
