Project Name Technical support for leakage prevention measures in Bandung city
Project Detail In December Heisei Mayor Hamamatsu visited Bandung City and met with Mayor of Lidoan · Camill. In order to evaluate past activities by private organizations in both cities and to cooperate with the revitalization of creative activities of both cities and sustainable urban growth, we are promoting creative cities, environmental sanitation, academic and research fields (LOI) aimed at building a cooperative relationship in Japan. Based on this memorandum, Bandung City requested cooperation projects in the field of water supply and sewerage, and in September, the staff of Hamamatsu City visited Bandung City Water Supply Corporation in order to identify cooperation field. Therefore, there is a request for promoting concrete cooperation in the field of non-revenue water management technology, and in response, we introduced a training program for JICA non-revenue water management measures that Hamamatsu City accepts from FY2004 . Also, as a result of utilizing the JICA grass-roots technical cooperation project and proposing to accept trainees and dispatch experts in the field of waterworks non-collection water management measures (leakage prevention measure) which has the experience of this overseas technical cooperation, There was a request from the city of Bandung to realize the project, which was proposed this time. Four. Project goal Leakage prevention measures in Bandung city urban area (pilot area) will be strengthened. Five. Target area Bandung City 6. Beneficiaries (number of people) Bandung City Indonesia Water Supply Corporation (PDAM Bandung staff 640 people) Bandung citizen receiving water supply (about 1.72 million people) 7. Activities and Expected Outputs 1. Staff comprehension degree for the necessity of leakage prevention measure is improved. 2. Leaders who can conduct water leakage survey will be trained and leaders training manual will be created. 3. Leaders who can promptly repair leaks are nurtured. Four. Leakage repair plan is planned. Five. A manual of the method and procedure of water supply construction that reduces water leakage is created. 1. A special team (about six people) specialized in learning leakage prevention countermeasures technology will be formed. We hold a leakage prevention measure seminar for PDAM Bandung staff. 2. Perform on-site training of water leakage detection and conduct skill level judgment test of leakage survey technology. In addition, we prepare a leakage investigation engineer training manual. 3. Perform practical training on water leakage repair and conduct proficiency level judgment test on water leakage repair technology. We also hold training workshops for leak repair leaders. Four. Survey the pipe type, caliber, depth of burial at the leakage site, organize the data, create a basic data questionnaire, and formulate a repair plan for the water pipe. Five. Confirm the current state of the method and procedure of water supply construction, and organize the issues. Make a water supply construction work manual and implement presentation for employees.
