In December Heisei Mayor Hamamatsu visited Bandung City and met with Mayor of Lidoan · Camill. In order to evaluate past activities by private organizations in both cities and to cooperate with the revitalization of creative activities of both cities and sustainable urban growth, we are promoting creative cities, environmental sanitation, academic and research fields (LOI) aimed at building a cooperative relationship in Japan. Based on this memorandum, Bandung City requested cooperation projects in the field of water supply and sewerage, and in September, the staff of Hamamatsu City visited Bandung City Water Supply Corporation in order to identify cooperation field. Therefore, there is a request for promoting concrete cooperation in the field of non-revenue water management technology, and in response, we introduced a training program for JICA non-revenue water management measures that Hamamatsu City accepts from FY2004 . Also, as a result of utilizing the JICA grass-roots technical cooperation project and proposing to accept trainees and dispatch experts in the field of waterworks non-collection water management measures (leakage prevention measure) which has the experience of this overseas technical cooperation, There was a request from the city of Bandung to realize the project, which was proposed this time.
