BOHO AND SHIKMA BRIDGES ISRAEL AT A GLANCE PROJECT STATUS Completion date: April 2013 CONSTRUCTING COMPANY Shikun & Binui Solel boneh DEVELOPING COMPANY Margolin Bros CLIENT Israel Railways ABOUT THE PROJECT The construction of two 450-meter-long rail bridges over the railway line connecting Ashkelon and Beer Sheva, in the section between Yad Mordechai and Netivot. The 450-meter long Shikma Bridge - which covers the Shikma River, Road 34 and the entry road into Kibbutz Erez - was built using the compression method. The Boho Bridge, over the Boho River - located northwest of the town of Netivot - is a 260-meter long beam bridge. |
