Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals Division) has a modern, integrated manufacturing facility at Valia in the Indian state of Gujarat . This faculty uses vegetable oils as the raw material to manufacture Fatty Acids, Glycerine, Fatty Alcohols & Surfactants such as Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate.
The chemical production plant at the site has a steam demand of 18 TPH. In pre-project scenario, the stream demand was met by two 12 TPH (F&A 100°C) natural gas (NG) based boilers. Under the present project activity, a new 12 TPH renewable biomass based boiler will displace steam from existing NG based boilers. Both the existing boilers will be kept under part operations and as standby even after implementation of the project activity.
The project will use renewable biomass briquette purchased in the market. As the biomass is generated from agro processing industry. |
