ASKALE Elektrik Üretim A.S. has developed TUANA Hydroelectric Power Project (TUANA HEPP) on Ciftlik Creek. TUANA HEPP will use water supply of Ciftlik Creek in Askale district of Erzurum. TUANA HEPP is a run-of-river hydro power plant (HPP) project with an installed capacity of 7,39 MWe, which annually feeds an amount of around 14,03 GWh of emission free electricity into the Turkish national grid according to feasibility report, thereby creating an emission reduction of 7.713 tCO2e. Askale A.S. made Grid Connection Contract with Turkiye Elektrik Iletim A.S. (TEIAS – Turkey Electricity Transmission Co.) on 11.03.2013 and Right of Water Use Contract with Devlet Su Isleri (DSI - State Hydrolic Works) on 23.08.2012. Project proponent has already obtained the electricity generation license of TUANA HEPP from Enerji Piyasasi Düzenleme Kurumu / Electricity Market Regulatory Authority on 26/07/2012 for the duration of 44 years, 5 months and 5 days. The project is not a de-bundle project. |
