The project comprises mainly investments included in the first phase of the Milano-Linate Airport Master Plan 2015-2030, with the objective of improving the airports operational efficiency, enhancing safety and security and improving the environmental management of the facilities. The project will also include safety and security investments in the Milano-Malpensa airport. It includes inter alia: a rehabilitation of the terminal, the resurfacing of the runway and aprons, a new de-icing area, the upgrade and renewal of the access roads and various investments including the reinforcement of the buildings to meet new seismic standards, the upgrade of the airports energy systems and the acquisition of Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) equipment meeting standard 3.
Objectives
The project will improve operational resilience and passenger service standards. It will also increase the level of security and safety compliance to European standards in both Linate and Malpensa airports. |
