| Project Name | Technical assistance on two alternatives to methyl bromide in the palm date sector - Egypt |
| Project Detail | The objective of this technical assistance project is to eliminate the remaining 6.0 ODP tonnes of MB used in the fumigation of dates by training date fumigators and processors on good fumigation practices when using phosphine tablets and mixtures of phosphine gas and CO2. The training process will place special emphasis on worker safety, by using phosphine concentration meters among other measures. |
