The construction of Khorasan Petrochemical Plant for KHPC under the license and supervision of Kellogg of UK was unique in terms of pouring a single monolithic concrete foundation for one of the Ammonia tanks just 7 weeks after the contract was awarded. Highly complicated piping in a 100 meter tall steel structure in a multi-contractor site with patented piping material from Stamicarbon was another challenge which was met by OIEC in this project. Adding to these challenges was the transportation and erection of the heavy 350 ton reactor. Finishing the project on time and within initial budget was the reward of precise planning and execution that was accomplished by OIEC’s professional construction and project management team.
