Project Detail |
In response to the needs anticipated by the professionals of the sector, the institutes will train technicians specialized in 5 sectors:
energy efficiency in building (EEB)
photovoltaic systems (SPV)
wind systems (SEO)
solar thermal systems (SST)
biogas.
In the medium term, the IFMEREE training platform, unique in the Euro-Mediterranean area , will expand its service offer to businesses and institutions in the sub-region.
The Oujda Institute opened its doors in November 2015. It is equipped with state-of-the-art workshops with state-of-the-art equipment for training identical to that provided in factories. The institute of Tangier, for which the laying of the first stone took place in September 2015, should be operational in 2017. That of Ouarzazate, whose construction will begin in 2017, has meanwhile planned to receive its first promotion of students in 2018.
The institutes will operate on a management model delegated by the State to professionals in the sector incorporated as a public limited company (IFMEREE SA). The partners concerned are the National Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable Energies (FENELEC), the Federation of Metallurgical, Mechanical and Electromechanical Industries (FIMME), the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MASEN), the Office National Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) and the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE).
This innovative management model gives the company a central role in the professional training process, which is based on the skills-based approach, work-study training and apprenticeships. This allows a better match between training and employment.
Morocco favors this management model for vocational training centers dedicated to strategic sectors with high employment potential.
This project with a total cost for the 3 institutes is 26 million euros) is made with the financial contribution of the European Union (10 million euros), AFD (10 million euros), GIZ (2 million euros) and the Kingdom of Morocco (4 million euros).
