Co-financed by the AFD and the African Development Bank, the village water program has two axes: Improving the drinking water and sanitation service first requires the construction of infrastructure drinking water supply (essentially water purification plants in Niger). It also involves the installation of latrines in schools, health centers and public places. A hygiene awareness campaign and the establishment of mechanisms for access to quality latrines will encourage the installation of latrines in households; Capacity building and institutional support concern both the Ministry of Hydraulics and Sanitation (support for monitoring the program),
