The project has different components: 1- Financing of the scrapping premium for two-wheeled vehicles polluting with less emissive vehicles; 2- Establishment of a "Green Garage" pilot project in Cairo Transport Authoritys main bus depot, mainly to improve the management and quality of maintenance; 3- Support to the estimation and modeling of CO2 emission factors and other air pollutants by various modes of public transport (buses, minibuses, microbuses) based on the reality of Cairo, in addition to the same program applied to passenger cars; 4- Support for the definition of simplified clean development mechanism training methodologies for urban transport in Cairo;
