| Project Detail | Construction of Siddhirganj 335 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant is underway. This Project is expected to be completed by 2016-2017. The development objective of the Siddhirganj Power Project for Bangladesh is to increase supply of electricity to Bangladesh grid network. Procurement process for EPC contractor is underway and Government of Bangladesh and International Development Association (IDA) are jointly financing the power plant project along with: (a) 230 KV S/S and 11 km 230 KV transmission line (PGCB component) (b) 60 km Gas Pipe Line from Bakhrabad to Siddhirganj (GTCL Component). Land Lease Agreement was signed between EGCB Ltd. & BPDB on 27 July, 2011 for 9.24 acres of land at Siddhirganj power station area on rental basis. Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 335 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant was signed between EGCB Ltd. & BPDB on 16 September 2015. Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) was signed between EGCB Ltd. & Titas Gas Transmission & Distribution Company on 18 August, 2015 for Siddhirgonj 335 MW CCPP Project. Contractor: JV of Isolux Ingenieria S.A. and Samsung C&T Corporation. Contract Signed: 28 May, 2012 Project Site: Siddhirganj, Narayanganj Mode of Financing: GOB & IDA Capacity: 335 MW Fuel: Natural Gas. |
