Design, construction, operation and maintenance of integrated waste management treatment facilities in the City of Belgrade, to be financed on a PPP (public–private partnership) structure.
Objectives
The project aims to rationalise and improve the current solid waste disposal practices and gradually bringing the country into compliance with EU standards in this sector. The project will also provide wider external benefits, notably in improving the water quality in rivers flowing into neighbouring countries. Thus, the project would be eligible under the Pre-Accession Mandate/Facility (2014-2020). If the project were located in the EU, it would also be eligible under Article 309 point (c) common interest (energy and environment). |
