Project Content:
Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) is responsible for the distribution of electricity in the Al Ain region. The exponential load increase emerging from new developments generates a permanent need to augment and reinforce the existing distribution network. The present project has to be seen in this context. It covers the establishment of two new 33/11 kV primary substations at Shamal Gharaba and Jebel Hafeet.
Activities:
Site survey and data collection; identification of possible power sources and required protection modifications
Power system study including load flow and short circuit analyses for different power source options
Preliminary layout and design of substation plots and 33 kV cable routes to obtain the approval of the Town Planning Department and other concerned authorities
Preparation of tender documents
Tender evaluation and recommendations
Full site supervision for the supply and installation of the two primary substations and the required 33 kV and FOC circuits from selected grid stations to the primary substations
Inspection of Contractors work and safeguard its conformity with AADCs requirements
Review of Contractors QA/QC tools, documentation and procedures, including inspection and testing schedules
Supervision of Contractors implementation of site health, safety and environment (HSE) policies
Checking of Contractors invoices, reports, certification of payments, review and monitoring of project costs
Review of "as-built" documentation
Commissioning and testing upon works completion, issuance of provisional acceptance certificate (PAC)
Monitoring of the site during the warranty period and issuance of final acceptance certificate (FAC)
Overall project management and reporting to the client. |
