Facility to manufacture steel structures for the offshore wind industry Windar Renovables will lay the cornerstone for a planned offshore wind turbine tower factory in Szczecin, Poland. Windar Polska will create up to 450 jobs and up to 150 offshore towers The plant in Szczecin will manufacture steel tubular towers for the offshore wind industry requiring very large dimensions, which will support the development of wind farms both in Poland and worldwide. The plant is scheduled to go into operation in 2026 and will directly create 450 jobs, Windar said. The factory will serve domestic and global demand and play a key role in supporting the Polish offshore wind energy sector. The investment may prove to be a key element in the further development of Polands infrastructure supporting the RES sector and will become an important point on the map of the European energy sector. The lease of the land at the Szczecin port is to be for 30 years.
