The Government of Corrientes reported that the paving of Provincial Route No. 99 continues at a good pace , in the section that connects Provincial Routes No. 5 and No. 43. The work, located in the metropolitan area of ??the provincial capital, will improve connectivity between Highway 5 and the town of Santa Ana de los Guácaras , consolidating a key road corridor in the Laguna Brava area . The project covers 4,450 linear meters and includes asphalt concrete paving, hydraulic improvements, horizontal and vertical signage, construction of bus lanes, and street lighting . The project includes a 7-meter-wide two-way road with 1.5-meter-wide paved shoulders within a 24-meter-wide roadway , with profiles designed to ensure traffic continuity and safety. Main technical characteristics of the work Road : two lanes of 3.50 meters each. Shoulders : paved, 1.5 meters per side. Cycle path/motorway : 1.50 metres in each direction, on asphalt. Sewerage : hydraulic system renovated with new reinforced concrete structures of 1 meter in diameter. Work began with a general clearing of the road , especially along the edges covered by overgrown vegetation, which hindered traffic. Earthworks were carried out , replacing damaged material and cleaning up side ditches, to achieve a crest width of 10 meters . Hydraulic works One of the most important points was the reconstruction of deteriorated sewers , such as the one located in progressive 1352, replaced by reinforced concrete pipes , and other transversals, such as in progressives +2939 and +2100, adapted to the new hydraulic requirements according to the elevation and drainage studies. State of progress 4% soil cement subbase : 90% of the route completed . Asphalt base (6 cm thick, hot mix) : also with a progress of 90% over a width of 10.10 meters. This project is part of the provincial road network improvement plan and aims to strengthen metropolitan integration , promoting the urban and economic development of areas with high tourism, production, and residential potential. The paving of this section offers a faster and safer alternative route and will facilitate connectivity between the provincial capital and nearby towns . |
