Work Detail | The US Naval Sea Systems Command has awarded a contract worth $741.49m to General Dynamics NASSCO and BAE Systems Southeast Shipyards Mayport in support of littoral combat (LCS) 1 variant class ships. The awardees will provide maintenance and sustainment support for the LCS 1 variant class ships, until August 2021. BAE Systems has won a $32m contract to supply anti-ship missile test capabilities to the Royal Australian Navy for a period of three years. The contractual work will include design, development, evaluation and supply of the future advanced threat simulator. MBDA has secured a missile system development contract from the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces (QENF). Capable of launching Marte ER and Exocet MM40 Block 3 missiles, the missile system will provide the QENF with the capability to attack hostile ships. Sierracin-Sylmar Corporation and Llamas Plastics have been contracted to provide windscreens for the US Navy’s V-22 Osprey military aircraft. The two-year contract, valued at $80m, has been awarded by the US Defense Logistics Agency Aviation. The contractual work will be performed in Sylmar, California, US. The US Naval Facilities Engineering Command has awarded an $11.29m contract to AT&T Government Solutions for the construction of communications towers. AT&T will design and build five land mobile radio communication towers of between 70ft and 150ft at multiple locations in the US Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, until March 2019. |
