The Municipality of Esquel is intensifying its public works plan with multiple interventions in different areas of the city. Among the notable initiatives is the construction of a sports field in the Los Sauces neighborhood, which seeks to promote inclusion through sports and provide a meeting space for young people and residents. This initiative is part of a municipal policy aimed at improving urban infrastructure, prioritizing projects that directly impact citizens quality of life. The new playground, in particular, represents a commitment to community development in a safe environment equipped for recreational and cultural activities. In parallel, several road infrastructure projects are progressing. Curb and gutter work is being carried out in the Belgrano and Buenos Aires neighborhoods, while a paving plan is underway on Pasaje Pacheco, between Sáenz Peña and Alsina. The municipality also completed three stages of the patching plan and plans to begin new work using paving stones, an effective technique even in adverse weather conditions. Another significant project is the opening of streets in the Valle Chico neighborhood, aimed at facilitating urban development and allowing the short-term introduction of essential services such as electricity, water, and gas. This project is being carried out in conjunction with the Provincial Highway Department, strengthening inter-institutional collaboration. Since the start of the current administration, more than 10 blocks of paving have been completed, despite the complex national economic context and the decline in revenue from revenue sharing and royalties. This result is possible thanks to efficient management and the commitment of residents to paying taxes, which allows for reinvestment in projects with a direct impact. |
