The Nahueve Multipurpose Project, located in northern Neuquén, is moving forward with the installation of the electromechanical equipment for its mini-hydroelectric plant, a crucial phase for the start of renewable energy generation. This project is part of a comprehensive plan that combines energy, production, and social objectives, with a significant impact on the region. Currently, specialized technical teams are working on the installation of the two turbines and generators, under the supervision of professionals sent by WWS Wasserkraft , the Austrian company responsible for the design and manufacture of the main equipment. The ongoing tasks include the installation of butterfly valves, spiral chambers, and suction pipes, essential components for the hydraulic operation of the system. The assembly has been organized in three stages. The first, currently underway, involves the installation of heavy equipment. The second phase includes the internal assembly of the turbines, the installation of the generators, and idle testing. Finally, a new technical mission of Austrian specialists will allow for final adjustments and generation tests to be carried out before the plant is operational. The project is being carried out by a joint venture formed by IME and Rovella Carranza SA , and includes not only clean energy generation but also complementary irrigation, road infrastructure, and drinking water supply projects. In this way, the project aims to diversify the local production matrix and improve the quality of life of rural communities in northern Neuquén. With local water resources and international technology, Nahueve is emerging as a model of multipurpose infrastructure geared toward sustainable development, consolidating the province as a key player in Argentinas energy transition. |
