The government of the province of Santa Fe launched a key project to renew and strengthen the electrical system in the eastern part of the provincial capital. With an investment of more than $1.75 billion , work began to completely replace the low-voltage wiring , build five new transformer substations , and improve the medium-voltage infrastructure , with the goal of increasing the power of the electrical service and reducing interruptions . The project will be carried out by Cocyar SA , will have a one-year completion period , and includes the laying of 12,000 meters of new pre-assembled low-voltage overhead cable, as well as 1,000 meters of protected medium-voltage cable . In addition, obsolete cables and poles will be removed , which will contribute to greater operational safety and efficiency in the system. The project will cover the area bordered by JP López, Peñaloza Avenue, Alberti, and Aguado , a sector with high energy demand and urban growth. The new substations will increase installed capacity by 2 MVA , significantly improving the capacity to supply electricity to homes, businesses, and institutions. The groundbreaking ceremony was led by the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini , and the president of the Provincial Energy Company (EPE), Anahí Rodríguez , who highlighted the impact of this investment on the quality of service. The resources of the people of Santa Fe are returning to this project, Puccini said, while emphasizing that it is a state-owned company that is up to the task. From EPE, Rodríguez emphasized that the renewal of the power lines will make the service more reliable , avoiding outages due to adverse weather conditions and ensuring greater stability and quality in energy distribution . In turn, the mayor of Santa Fe, Juan Pablo Poletti, praised the fact that this type of work allows for improved service in neighborhoods, providing concrete solutions to the community. This project is part of a broader energy infrastructure investment plan that the provincial government is carrying out in various locations. It is complemented by efforts to unlock national financing for new transformer stations, such as the Mayoraz Station , whose implementation depends on an international loan pending approval. |
