In a strategic move to accelerate Thailand’s clean energy transition, B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited, a prominent clean energy leader, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with REPCO NEX, a subsidiary of SCG Chemicals Group (SCGC). The partnership aims to enhance the operational efficiency of combined heat and power plants and renewable energy facilities using digital solutions, while also spearheading the development of a 19.5-megawatt floating solar farm at the Amata City Industrial Estate in Chonburi. The collaboration will deploy the “Digital Reliability Service Solutions by REPCO NEX” (DRS), a smart digital tool powered by AI and big data analytics, to optimize energy production processes and support B.Grimm Power’s “Inclusive Green Leap” strategy. This initiative aligns with Thailand’s national goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. Dr. Harald Link, CEO of B.Grimm Power, stated that the alliance marks a significant advancement in the company’s clean energy roadmap. “This cooperation with REPCO NEX enhances the performance of both our combined-cycle and renewable energy power plants through intelligent digital solutions, while also driving forward one of Thailand’s largest floating solar farm projects,” said Dr. Link. “Our vision of ‘Empowering the World Compassionately’ is rooted in expanding clean energy investment, developing smart energy systems, and promoting sustainable fuels like LNG.” Dr. Suracha Udomsak, Chief Operating and Innovation Officer at SCGC, emphasized the role of innovation in energy transformation. “Through DRS by REPCO NEX, we apply AI technology and big data analytics to support real-time operational decisions, ensuring higher efficiency in power plant operations,” he explained. “We’re also fostering digital skills in B.Grimm Power’s workforce to support long-term self-sufficiency in digital energy management.” SCGC has also introduced specially designed floating buoys to support the 19.5 MW solar farm installation, contributing to reduced emissions and environmental sustainability in the industrial zone. This partnership is poised to elevate Thailand’s energy industry to global standards, opening doors for international competitiveness in renewable energy while reinforcing the country’s leadership in clean energy and smart technology in the ASEAN region. |
