The second stage of the duplication of the roadway on Provincial Route No. 30 , in the section between Boulevard Circunvalación Oeste and 18 de marzo Street , reached 50 % progress , consolidating itself as a key work to improve the road infrastructure and safety at the western entrance to the city of Río Cuarto . With a length of 1,160 meters , the layout adopts a boulevard -type profile , with two carriageways with two lanes in each direction , separated by a central median strip. The road will have a modern lighting system . The project also includes the construction of an intersection for vehicle return , which will facilitate traffic and reduce the risk of accidents. The project requires a provincial investment of more than $4 billion and is fully financed by the Government of Córdoba. The works are being carried out by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services , through the Provincial Highway Department , and are part of a comprehensive plan to support the strong urban growth in the western part of the city. In this regard, it is estimated that more than 5,000 lots are under development in that area, which implies a growing demand for connectivity and road services. During a recent tour of the project, provincial and municipal officials highlighted the positive impact on job creation , as the completion of this phase has created more than 50 direct jobs . They also emphasized the strategic contribution of this investment, which not only improves the quality of life for residents but also optimizes traffic to tourist destinations in the southern mountains of Córdoba . The roadway expansion on Route 30 will soon be complemented by the start of one of the sections of the long-awaited Río Cuarto Ring Road project , considered the most significant roadwork project in recent years for the city. Both projects are part of a provincial plan that, despite the adverse economic climate, aims to sustain urban development and road safety. |
