Iraqs Oil Products Distribution Company has launched a new mobile application called Qanini to simplify and accelerate access to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders at the official price of IQD 6,000. The companys Director General, Hussein Talib, stated that the app represents a digital transformation aligned with the government programme and the Ministrys strategy to modernise the energy sector through technology. He said that the app ensures rapid, unrestricted access to LPG cylinders, improving service to citizens at any time. The app also streamlines operations for licensed mobile vendors, allowing them to register through dedicated digital forms. This digital licensing system helps prevent price manipulation and ensures that cylinders meet approved specifications. It also enables the company to monitor performance and address any issues with vendors operating under official regulations. Talib also revealed plans to launch a home fuel delivery service using mobile stations to supply petrol directly to citizens vehicles, aiming for greater convenience and efficiency. He dismissed rumours of price increases, confirming that the price of LPG cylinders sold through the app remains fixed at IQD 6,000, identical to the traditional rate. |
