Work Detail |
The La Pampa government signed the contract to pave Provincial Route 9, a key project that will connect northern La Pampa with the province of Córdoba. With an official investment of $6.199 billion, the project aims to improve interprovincial road infrastructure, boost productive development, and provide greater safety for users. The project will be carried out by a contracting firm whose contract has already been formalized. The route to be worked on covers a 6,900-meter stretch, from National Route 188 to the border with Córdoba. This is a dirt rural road that will be transformed into a 6.90-meter-wide paved roadway, with complementary works that include an interchange on National Route 188, lighting, vertical and horizontal signage, and road safety measures. The estimated completion time is 18 months and responds to a long-standing demand from residents of the northeast of the province, particularly in the towns of Rancul and Villa Huidobro. The project, promoted by the Legislature and supported by the Executive Branch, also seeks to ease congestion on National Route 35, offering a more efficient and safer alternative route. The Ministry of Public Works and Services emphasized that this paving is a strategic priority for the provincial government, facilitating the transportation of agro-industrial products and improving regional connectivity. The project is also part of a policy of continuity in public works, with an emphasis on territorial integration and economic development. The Provincial Highway Department (DPV) will be the agency responsible for overseeing the technical execution of the project. According to its authorities, the new route will adopt the technical profile of a provincial highway, replacing the existing rural road and transforming its use into a structural corridor for interprovincial traffic. This project joins the series of road initiatives underway in the province, aimed at ensuring greater territorial equity, consolidating logistics infrastructure, and responding to the specific mobility needs of the people of La Pampa. |
