With an official budget of $4.1 billion and a 180-day execution period, the municipality of Rosario is moving forward with the bidding process to develop the Tricentennial Rambla , a key project in the citys 300th anniversary celebrations. The project includes the comprehensive restoration of the warehouse area located on the central riverbank, known as the Innovation Strip. The urban project includes the removal of the existing paving and the installation of interlocking concrete blocks, which will improve pedestrian circulation and accessibility for sustainable modes of transportation such as bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates. New street furniture will also be installed and lighting will be renovated, with the aim of enhancing the architectural and functional value of the waterfront area. One of the most significant structural aspects will be the reconstruction of the riverbank. Improvements will be carried out on stilts and will include a 4-meter-wide reinforced concrete walkway. At the pedestrian level, flowerbeds with native vegetation, shrubs, and trees will be added, creating a green and accessible environment for recreational and family use. In addition, improvements to vehicular traffic are planned throughout the entire area. Proposals will be evaluated by municipal authorities before awarding the contract. |
