Work Detail Chiyoda Corporation (Chiyoda) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Feasibility Study contract by Pilot Energy Limited (Pilot) for a carbon supply chain in Western Australia. This Feasibility Study is a joint study being led by Pilot and aims to develop a carbon supply chain to assist with capturing and storing up to approximately 700,000 tonnes per annum of carbon dioxide greenhouse gas emissions associated with the South32 Worsley Alumina Pty Ltd (South32) Worsley Alumina Operations. The captured carbon dioxide will be delivered to Pilot’s planned storage site for the Cliff Head Carbon Storage Project*. For this Feasibility Study, Chiyoda will be responsible for the onshore facility scope, while Knutsen NYK Carbon Carriers AS (KNCC), a liquid CO2 marine transportation provider, will be responsible for the marine transportation scope. As an integrated engineering company, Chiyoda is committed to achieving a carbon neutral society by not just only performing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, but through a wide range of initiatives including in-house technological development. Through these efforts, Chiyoda aims to fulfill its mission of ‘Energy and Environment in Harmony,’ and contribute to the development of a sustainable society.
