Province puts out to tender stormwater drainage projects to improve drainage in Vedia The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services of the Province of Buenos Aires, through the Undersecretariat of Water Resources, has issued a tender for the construction of storm drains in the southwest sector of Vedia , in the Leandro N. Alem district . The project will benefit approximately 5,000 residents , providing an effective solution for the evacuation of excess water and reducing the risk of flooding. Technical details of the project The plan includes the construction of a storm drain 1,649 meters long , complemented by three secondary branches: Vargas Branch 1 : 104 meters along Pablo Vargas Street, from Ancalo to Coronel Charras. Vargas Branch 2 : 116 meters above Pablo Vargas, from Fuerte Lavalle to Coronel Charras. Pincen Branch : 116 meters above Pincen Street, from Fuerte Lavalle to Coronel Charras. These works will optimize rainwater runoff , preventing accumulation near homes and improving the communitys quality of life. Impact and financing From the Undersecretariat of Water Resources , its head highlighted the importance of moving forward with this type of projects that improve water infrastructure and reduce the risk of flooding in the region . For his part, the mayor of Leandro N. Alem stressed that the work represents a significant investment by the Province , allowing the resolution of a structural problem affecting the town and ensuring better drainage in the central area of ??Vedia . The construction of storm drains is part of a comprehensive water infrastructure plan promoted by the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, with the aim of preventing flooding and improving urban sanitation in municipalities of Buenos Aires .
