The city of Viedma is moving forward with the reactivation of various public works projects in conjunction with the provincial government. During a recent tour, Mayor Marcos Castro, along with Governor Alberto Weretilneck and Vice Governor Pedro Pesatti, oversaw infrastructure progress and planned new projects for the capital of Río Negro. One of the highlights of the tour was the construction of the new Bus Terminal, where flooring, electrical installation, and improvements to both the main building and the bus bay area are underway. On this occasion, the governor presented a new financial contribution to ensure the continued construction. Likewise, the renovation of the old terminal building was announced, converting it into a modern monitoring center to strengthen the citys 911 emergency service. This initiative seeks to improve security and optimize emergency response. Another project inspected was the Child Development Center (CDI) in the Patagonia neighborhood. Initially financed with national resources, the project was completed with municipal funds. The CDI includes classrooms, restrooms, a kitchen, and recreational spaces for early childhood, establishing itself as a fundamental space for the care and education of the citys children. The tour concluded in the Mi Bandera neighborhood, where flooring, painting, and bathroom improvements are underway in the neighborhood councils Multipurpose Room (MU). These improvements respond to a request from residents, channeled through legislator Facundo López at community meetings. Public works are active in our city, and thats crucial, not only because it creates jobs, but also because it contributes to the development and growth of Viedma, Mayor Castro emphasized after the tour. |
