Within the framework of the Rosario Agreement, the province moved forward with the bidding process for the paving and comprehensive improvement of the streets surrounding the Rosario Southern Regional Hospital. The project, which seeks to improve accessibility and the facilitys surroundings, has an official budget of $1,545,893,120 and a six-month completion period. The project includes paving several key streets, curbs, storm drains, a drinking water system, street lighting, sidewalks, and access ramps. Additionally, it plans to clear sections of road where substandard housing is currently partially occupied. This initiative is part of a larger plan aimed at reactivating the hospital, whose concrete structure of more than 38,000 square meters is currently at a standstill. The works include paving Heliotropo Street between San Martín and España Streets, with a 7-meter-wide roadway; and Passage 539, located on the western edge of the property and near a dense cluster of substandard housing, where a 5-meter-wide pavement will be installed. 5 de Agosto Street, north of the hospital, will also be paved with a 7-meter-wide roadway and wide sidewalks, as well as an internal street on the property that will separate the hospital from Vocational Technical and Secondary School No. 407. The provincial Ministry of Public Works emphasized that this project is essential to enhance the areas infrastructure and ensure better access to the hospital. The project seeks not only to complete the necessary additional works but also to reactivate the construction of the hospital, which has been unfinished for several years.
