Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) has secured a contract from Petronas Carigali’s subsidiary Vestigo Petroleum. The deal with an undisclosed value covers engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of two wellhead platforms. The platforms, weighing about 1,500 metric tonnes, will be built at MMHE West Yard in Pasir Gudang, Johor, and be deployed offshore Peninsular Malaysia to support Vestigo’s Irong Timur and Berantai East field development plans. The two companies have been collaborating on offshore projects since 2016. “Securing this project through competitive bidding and strategic contracting against leading regional players underscores our technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and ability to deliver outstanding results,” said Mohd Nazir Mohd Nor, managing director and CEO of parent company Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings. |
