Work Detail Terawatt Energy (TE), a leading provider of solar solutions, has partnered with four key players in the clean energy sector to introduce a comprehensive service model for solar energy solutions in Thailand. As part of this collaboration, TE has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to become the official distributor of JA Solar, a Tier 1 global solar panel manufacturer, and SIGENERGY, a renowned global developer of solar energy solutions. This partnership marks the first introduction of SIGENERGY’s latest innovation, ‘SigenStor’, to the Thai market. ‘SigenStor’ is an all-in-one solar energy system solution that integrates batteries and artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and energy storage capabilities. The solution is expected to contribute to TE’s revenue growth, with projections indicating an increase to 580 million baht in 2025. Chawanun Thongpha, executive director of business development and technology at Terawatt Energy, stated that the company was formed through the merger of four major clean energy firms—Marvel Solar Energy, Siva Solar Energy, Ch. Energy System, and Friend Stone Intertrade. This merger has created a clean energy “ecosystem” designed to advance Thailand’s solar energy industry. TE aims to provide a one-stop solution for high-quality clean energy technologies, offering solar panels, inverters, wiring, and installation services. The company also provides financing solutions to support its partners in adopting solar energy. The global and Thai solar markets are experiencing rapid growth, with the global market projected to reach $150-180 billion in 2025 and $215.9 billion by 2030. In Thailand, the market is expected to be valued at 67,268 million baht ($2 billion) in 2025, driven by declining costs, government policies supporting renewable energy, increased awareness of clean energy benefits, and financial support from banks. However, challenges remain, including gaps in knowledge, installation technology, and battery storage efficiency. TE seeks to address these challenges by offering high-quality solar solutions and exclusive access to SIGENERGY’s advanced inverter technology. Thanakrit Chotipetch, managing director of SIGENERGY Thailand, emphasized that SIGENERGY specializes in solar energy solutions, including inverters and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for both residential and commercial use. Since its launch in mid-2022, the company has generated five billion baht in revenue within just two years and has gained significant traction in Europe and Australia. As part of its collaboration with Terawatt Energy, SIGENERGY has introduced ‘SigenStor’, a 5-in-1 energy storage system that integrates a solar inverter, EV charger, battery management, and energy storage functionalities. The system supports Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology, enabling electricity from electric vehicles (EVs) to be used as a backup power source during outages. Additionally, an intelligent AI system powered by ChatGPT-4o is integrated into the mySigen app, allowing users to receive real-time energy management insights and recommendations. SIGENERGY also launched ‘SigenStack’, a BESS solution designed for commercial applications. With expandable modules capable of storing up to 253 kWh per set, ‘SigenStack’ offers a cost-effective and scalable energy storage solution. The system features multiple safety mechanisms, low noise operation, and IP66 protection, ensuring durability and minimal maintenance. Chawanun further highlighted that Terawatt Energy, in addition to being an exclusive distributor for SIGENERGY, is also a key distributor for JA Solar. The company offers high-quality T-LOCK solar panel mounting equipment with a 20-year warranty, T-CABLE wiring solutions tested beyond TUV (Germany) standards, and a nationwide distribution network to reduce transportation costs and ensure rapid delivery. Its primary customer base includes EPC contractors, solar panel installers, businesses, and residential users. The company’s strategy focuses on forming alliances with both domestic and international partners to deliver premium clean energy technologies and services. TE also aims to educate installers and contractors through training programs, marketing campaigns, and financing options in collaboration with financial institutions. By making solar energy solutions more accessible and cost-effective, the company seeks to accelerate Thailand’s transition to renewable energy. Terawatt Energy’s ultimate goal is not just selling solar equipment but fostering long-term success for all stakeholders, from partners to end users. By integrating cutting-edge global clean energy technologies, the company is committed to driving sustainable energy adoption in Thailand.
