Financing and Projection of the Road Tax This is the second year of the Road Tax , implemented by the municipal government. It applies a 3% rate to the tax-free price of liquid fuels. The revenue is transferred monthly to the municipality by service stations and used exclusively for road infrastructure improvements. According to the 2025 Budget projections , the Road Tax is estimated to generate revenues of $9 billion , representing 2.4% of the total revenues forecast by the Legal, Technical and Finance Secretariat. With this new investment, the municipality reaffirms its commitment to improving and maintaining the urban road network, ensuring a safer and more efficient infrastructure for residents and tourists. |
