The government of the province of Santa Fe has launched a bidding process for the construction of the Microstadium at the High Performance Sports Center (CARD) in the provincial capital, one of the main projects planned for the 2026 South American Games. The space will be designed to host indoor Olympic events and will have multiple recreational, cultural, and educational uses. With an official budget of $8,294,792,103.87, the micro-stadium will have a capacity for 3,472 spectators and 74 media positions. The project will be carried out within the CARD (National Sports Center), which, along with the Higher Institute of Physical Education and the facilities of the Santa Fe Hockey Association, forms a leading sports center in the region. The Minister of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico, emphasized that this infrastructure will be a sporting heritage for the city and joins the more than 1,500 projects underway in the province. For his part, the Minister of Economy, Pablo Olivares, highlighted the projects positive impact on the sports community and society in general. Likewise, the Minister of Equality and Human Development, Victoria Tejeda, emphasized the importance of the legacy that the 2026 South American Games will leave in the province. The micro-stadium is one of three tenders launched in the same week, along with the Recreational Shooting Center and another micro-stadium in Rafaela. This infrastructure is expected to strengthen sports development in the province and contribute to the development of high-performance athletes.
