Work Detail The project, which has begun construction, is located in the Tarapacá region and has the capacity to generate approximately 600 GWh of renewable electricity per year. Chilean liquefied natural gas company Abastible has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Spanish multinational Zelestra, which includes a hybrid solution combining 220 MWdc of solar energy with a 1 GWh battery energy storage system, located in the Tarapacá region. The project, which has already begun construction, is designed to provide nighttime power to Abastible, a company focusing on the electricity marketing business for its clients, primarily small and medium-sized businesses. In a statement, it is stated that the hybrid plant will generate approximately 600 GWh of renewable electricity per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 200,000 Chilean households. A few days ago it was announced that Zelestra submitted the Monterrico Solar Photovoltaic Park for environmental qualification, a 248.73 MWp solar project with a 200 MW / 1,200 MWh BESS , to be located in the Ñuble region, and an investment of 360 million dollars.
