The Municipality of Trelew is making progress in the restoration of the Bus Terminal with the opening of bidding processes for the second phase of the project. On this occasion, four companies submitted their proposals to carry out the renovation work, which aims to address structural issues and improve passenger facilities. The terminals deterioration is evident, with leaks, dripping roofs, and unsafe electrical connections. The first phase of the work, focused on renovating the exterior and building a new bus access, is nearing completion. The strategy of implementing improvements in stages allows the terminal to remain operational without interrupting service to its users. The municipality emphasized that the participation of several companies reflects their confidence in the management, having completed previous projects on time and with on-time payments. The bids submitted will be reviewed by the Awarding Committee, composed of a lawyer and an engineer, who will evaluate each proposal based on the established requirements, beyond the quoted amount. The project includes a comprehensive renovation of the terminal, with a completion period of 180 days. The main tasks to be performed include waterproofing the roofs, completely renovating the restrooms, and modernizing the plumbing and sewage systems. In addition, the central hall, one of the most deteriorated areas of the building, will be renovated.
