The Mendoza City Municipality has announced a call for public tenders for the implementation of the Digital Security Ring , an advanced video surveillance system designed to strengthen access control and security in the provincial capital. This project seeks to optimize urban surveillance using cutting-edge technology, with an investment exceeding USD 616,172.94 . The initiative includes the installation of advanced security cameras , management software, and a modernized monitoring center. Key tools include: 60 TANDEM cameras (PTZ + Fixed) with 360° dynamic monitoring and high image quality. 30 ANPR (License Plate Reader) cameras for vehicle identification at strategic points. VMS (Video Management System) for data storage and processing. LED road screens to enhance security at main entrances. The Digital Security Ring will be integrated with the Mendoza Province Ministry of Security database , enabling real-time identification of vehicles subject to seizure and the detection of crime patterns using artificial intelligence. Additionally, the Municipal Monitoring Center will be upgraded with high-performance servers and advanced analytics software. Project financing will be distributed among the following areas: Fiber optic laying: USD 65,687.94 Cameras and licenses for video analytics: USD 401,300.00 Equipment for the monitoring center: USD 127,185.00 Fiber and network maintenance: USD 10,000.00 The implementation schedule calls for the installation of the equipment in the coming months, with the goal of having the system operational before the end of the year. As part of the launch, a cooperation agreement was signed between the municipality and the province, allowing for the integration of municipal community alarms with the 911 Emergency System . This measure will strengthen citizen security and optimize emergency response. This project represents a significant advance in urban security in Mendoza, combining cutting-edge technology with a preventive and coordinated approach to improve citizen protection. |
